Hi, I’m Mona, a six-year-old girl from China. Last year my pink bunny came to the playa and received lots of love, company and warm hugs from everyone. This year, the mushroom residing in Mona’s heart is reborn from the dust. The mycelium of the ancient fungus has been living underneath the surface of the playa for millions of years. This year, alkalinity conditions are exactly right for it to curiously rise to the surface and form a colorful fruiting body. Mona Mushroom has given the magic wisdom to Mona that as long as you dream, miracles will happen. Let the Mushroom take you back to when you were six years old – the age that dreams begin. As part of the Mona Mushroom Project, Mona’s team organized the Mona Mushroom Spores Drone Show. 1100 drones lit up the sky over Black Rock City, representing the largest drone show since the Burning Man Festival began.
